This page provides many terms that I use on my site to help you navigate my written content better. Since there are so many facets to my inspiration and processes, context is needed. Every term listed here are defined in my own words. The glossary will be updated accordingly as more terms are added.
The study of humankind’s cultures, arts, history, and traditions. Commonly, ancient and modern civilizations. (is foundation to my inspiration).
A locked or guarded space that stores a plethora of weapons and resources. (this term I use to refer to my ‘shop’ that houses my forged and enchanted creations).
A term for a ‘black nerd ‘that gained popularity in 2006. (I as a black artist I culturally identify as a blerd.)
To charm or placing a spell on person, location, or objects. (I use this term to refer to magical styled items I create. They are not actually bewitched. Well not unless you have a little imagination.
A narrative in the form of a long poem of legends and heroes. (I use this term in reference to my Prince poems that are located on my ‘Epic’ page).
To create and/or manipulate materials through the process of heating in the furnace and hammering. Blacksmithing and metalsmithing are the common examples. (I use this term as play on words for my process of creating my pieces with clay. By manipulation and heating.)
A weapon or tool’s handle at which is usually referring to a bladed weapon. Such as a sword or knife.
A symbol representing an object or figure. (My armory icons are wearable representations of weapons and objects that are reminiscent of gaming.)
Kindred meaning, alike or 'kin' to. Whispers meaning shared 'secret' or story. ( I blended them both together to create the meaning of shared secrets or shared stories. This is the meaning of the human connectivity in arts, literature, cultures, and survival).
Descriptive knowledge or conceptual belief traditionally spread through word of mouth. (a term that I use for background story to myself, content, and creations.)
A weapon that has a blade fixed at the end of a shaft. The shafts are typically made of wood and metal. Weapons such as the Naginata, and Halberd are examples of a polearm.
Versatile and moldable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) clay that is cured by heating. (This is one of my main materials when working on my creations.)
The butt or end of a weapon that is located on the end of a weapon’s hilt. Typically found at the end of the hilt of a sword. Pummels comes in various designs such as crystals, metal balls, etc...
A term that so used for miniatures in short. These models are made from plastic and metal, which are meant for tabletop gaming. (I do not make minis (yet), however, I do buy and paint them. you can check out me experimenting with my first set here).
Used to refer to a body of creative work that was created with more than one medium to achieve a desired aesthetic. (I refer to myself as a mixed media artist.)
